My recent trip to Camaguey Cuba.

The fruit that's hanging ....is from a palm tree.  The leaves of this tree is used for making thatched roof for a house.  Don't know whether this fruit is edible.  Forgot to ask!

Weird, Crazy, but Tasty Food

Hi,
      My name is Josephine.  I came from Asia, and settled here in Canada for 29 years. I  worked as a Chef for 9 years and I am always interested in "Foods" in any kind of shape, looks, taste, etc.  This doesn't include not only the cooked food, but I am interested in exotic fruits, vegetables, drinks, wine, fish, you name it.
      In my home country, where people couldn't afford to buy vitamins, we cook vegetables that is rich in Iron.  We call this vegetable "malunggay". We even eat the seeds. I wish I will be able to post a picture of this , but I promise that I will do it in the future.

      Also there are some plants that we use not only for eating, but for medicinal purposes. At times we also use snake bile to cure severe stomach ache.
                                                    Josephine
